In A Fog...

Sunday is yet another day of the inversion, a period of overcast and moderate chill each and every day. I tried one short walk, then back to the furnace and pets. Feeling pretty good now, but usually get sleepy before I used to. And instead of bouncing out of bed, I drag. DRAG. But this is a period of relative calm, long weeks between medical stuff. I like it!!! And so there finally is time to think about the future. I still see the Dude in it, with some business challenge for us. I realize he has managed to complicate his life in anazing ways, some his and some not. But there is always time for a good idea.

Interesting time in life. My older cat seems to be losing fur. She seems OK otherwise, but I can see her skin. Her drumsticks are, well, exactly that. The younger one is about SAMO, which is just perfect. And I continue to respond to survey invitations with the promise (well, offer) of riches. Modest riches, but enough for a pizza at least. The place that sends me the most offers also is the most picky. Answer a couple of questions, get kicked out, and on to the next. Another place only lets me in every so often, so you hit it THAT time, or wait/wait/wait. And the ones that pay per survey are pretty few these days. Used to get paid per each.

I realize once again this winter that my best seasons do not include this one! I love to take long walks, but not bundled up. In fact today I noticed several male shorts, rather a surprise. There are some others who think alike. I also was pleased to see that the weight situation is about the same, the few holiday pounds in the past. Still puzzles me why the dr's scale is so much higher. I am constantly about 20 l bs more down there. And I do not think she believes me about the difference! Can tennies make such a gap????? Of course I believe my old faithful, but it is admittedly "old" faithful. Think I will definitely keep it!

Well, getting towards evening. Yes, sunset is a bit later now, but not a great deal. While I like dark evenings with a glowing candle, daylight is OK, too. Suggests warmth. I am looking forward to this week. The Dude suggested lunch tomorrow, and we have our computer trade show later. Fun events. And I am happy to say that taxes are done. OK, not a big stretch this time, but nice to get the money returned that I did not want taken a year ago anyway. And, surprise/surprise, blue sky and sun, albeit rather late to have an impact. And, as for the past 16 years, Nutmeg is "starved."
